Innoscentia was invited to pitch the company at The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce – New York‘s event Sustainology this week and where happy to have been awarded with a second place winning a distance membership in the chamber for the upcoming year. A great experience and chance for us to come in contact with the american market. Thanks to SACCNY, Deloitte and everyone else involved to create a fantastic conference!

Innoscentia has been nominated top 5 company in the SACCNY Deloitte Green Award. The price is awarded each year to an innovative Swedish company with a product or service making a positive impact on the environment. The final winner will be presented on Sustainology Summit in New York coming November.
Innoscentia has closed it’s biggest seed round to date worth approximately 560 000 € (6 000 000 SEK). Appart from a majority of current investors the new investors Ove Linde, Mats Hentzel, Roger Eriksson and Per Arvidsson participated in the emission of 30 000 new shares.
– This round provides us with financial muscles to ramp up our R&D and shorten our time until commercialization , says CEO Erik Månsson
Innoscentia has hired Erik Månsson for the role as the companies new CEO. Erik is coming from Lund University and has extensive experience from organization development. Erik will have his base at the coworking-space Norrsken House in Stockholm and will take over from the 1st of July. Former CEO Robin Thiberg will remain as a board member of Innoscentia.
– I really look forward to taking Innoscentia to the next level and make sure we gain sufficient traction and potential customers for our technologies. Erik Månsson says.
The Global Innovation Award is a collaboration between Medicon Village and EAT Foundation. The Jury Chair, Dr Ursula Hultkvist Bengtsson, commented on this year’s winning concept: ”The jury has found the Innoscentia approach, combining a printable sensor technology (smart package label) in order to detect food status a good combination of several of the GIA criteria. For Medicon Village AB a key theme is to prevent diseases and we believe that this technique can really prevent disease and at the same time not waste food that can be consumed safely. We would like to see this product on the market with a global reach out as quickly as possible.”
The fifth edition of the Nordic Cleantech Open saw no less than 113 companies applying. This, and the hard work of our very competent jury, ensures that the quality of the top 25 is top notch. Only the most promising among Nordic Cleantech Startups can make it all the way to the top 25. Read more.
Robin Thiberg was granted most innovative entrepreneur of the year 2016 according to SISP and ÅForsk.
Innoscentia was one of 8 finalists PwC’s Innovation of the year award.
